This is the root of so much of what is right and wrong in our world. My favourite quote is:

Curiosity is the fuel of questions. But honest curiosity gets harder to find in anyone older than 10.
By that point, sadly, most people are simply using ‘curiosity’ to find data to support their own arguments and positions, not to actually learn something new or (gasp) contrary to their beliefs.
