The 30-page business plan is dead. The 10-slide startup deck is dying.
Here are the 14 steps you need to take to start a business in today’s climate.

1. Think of an insanely amazing business idea

2. Tell your friend who knows nothing about business your business idea

3. Calmly take in how successful and rich you are going to be because of your business idea

4. Navigate to GoDaddy.com and indecisively purchase 4 domain names for your business idea

5. Feel an extremely small sense of satisfaction

6. Take a nap

7. Wake up to the disgusting reality that starting a business is hard

8. Write a Medium post about your experience

9. Think about hitting the Publish button for 36 days

10. Finally share your Medium draft with that same friend for feedback

11. Hit Publish before you can reconsider

12. Freak out when your article doesn’t instantaneously go viral

13. Question everything

14. Binge watch Gary Vaynerchuk videos until you build up enough inspiration to start back at Step 1.
