WWDC 2017 Information Released!

Sometimes in the WWDC pictures they offer “easter eggs” to what may be released at the Keynote (June 5th, 2017) but unfortunately this time they haven’t done so.

Apple unveiled its next generation software: Mac OS X Lion, the eighth major release of Mac OS X; iOS 5, the next version of Apple’s advanced mobile operating system which powers the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch; and iCloud, Apple’s upcoming cloud services offering.
The announcements at the event included renaming OS X to macOS, the new version named macOS Sierra, as well as updates to iOS 10, watchOS 3, and tvOS 10 and not forgetting the new programming software called “Swift”

WWDC 2017 dates: When is WWDC 2017?

Apple’s famous week-long WWDC 2017 event runs from 5–9 June 2017, and will be held at the McEnery Convention Centre in San Jose, California (WWDC was hosted at this exact location back in 2002, and hasn’t been hosted there since.. until now.). You can get confirmation of the dates and venue by asking Siri, by the way.

Based on previous behaviour, expect Apple to host an opening press conference and keynote speech on the first night at 10am Pacific time, or 6pm UK time, in which it will showcase the latest versions of iOS, macOS, tvOS and watchOS. Then a week of developer training courses (and awards ceremonies) will follow.
