This is a very refreshing highlight. I feel that Americans (myself very much included) grow fearful or at cautious of people as they age. I absolutely feel this way. Luckily, I recently realized this and I have since tried to actively change the way I thought about, well, old people. I don’t know if this channel of thought was formed through some sort of societal prejudice against those persons that were not young looking or simply my opinion that old wrinkly skin is distasteful. But somehow, somewhere I garnered this prejudice (keep in mind that the origin of prejudice is not the womb, prejudice is learned) and I needed to stop it before I no longer had the mental ability to. I cannot say I always do it. But I am trying. I apologize if this is rambly; i haven’t talked to anyone about this and this is the first (and possibly the last) time this has ever come up in context. Thanks for reading.
