What do I do,
when my love stops loving me?
Her love faded.
Gone like the wind.
Years it sustained.
Then poof,
not to be found.

What is it,
when you’re crying
but your eyes are dry?
No tears are falling.
A waterless cry.

I do not know what to do.
Draped in sadness.
Broken heart.
Cut it out,
put it in a frame.
Call it art.

I want the pain to go away.
It’s attached to me,
twisting within.
Take my heart,
give it a rinse.
Clean off of the hurt.
Put it back in.

A reminder that some love,
comes to an end.

Shapeless as water

Strong as rock

Careful as twine

Fearless as a lion

Age like wine

Intelligent

Embodiment of brilliance

Women the divine

Fuck you
That’s what I said
When life pushed me down
Then kicked me in the head

Got back up
Blood spit from my mouth
That’s all you got
I said

Brushed my shirt off
Dusted my jeans
Here I be standing
Ready for the memes

Laugh now
I will be winning life
Not stuck chasing dreams
