LIFE NEEDS TO BE EXTRA BEAUTIFUL FROM NOW ON
What My Near-Death Experience Taught Me About Life
Be encouraged to think big and to leave your mark on this generation.

Earlier today, while I was on my way to attend a meeting in Downtown Houston, it started to rain heavily. I was driving my friend’s Toyota Rav4 on highway 290, and suddenly, I noticed the SUV’s tires lost contact with the road. It seemed the car began to roll on top of a thin film of water or oil residue. It felt like the vehicle was floating while veering in a direction on its own. The Rav4 spun out of control while I was trying to keep my steering straight. I was on the left lane when this incident started and ended up on the right lane of the highway facing oncoming traffic. Did I mention I almost got killed by an eighteen-wheeler while the Rav4 was sliding?
I survived. I let out a silent prayer, “Thank you, God.”
A near-death experience can be a wake-up call that changes the direction of our life and put us on the path we are meant to be following. After this incident, my sense of what mattered most in life was turned upside down.
Maybe you, too, can gain value and perspective from my experience. Be encouraged to think big, to follow your dreams, and to leave your mark on this generation. If you have a calling in your heart to do something, don’t put it off. Perhaps you are the next New York Times Bestselling Author or the next Elon Musk; don’t justify inaction with excuses.
Dust off your dream. Life needs to be extra beautiful from now on.
“Start believing today that things are going to change for the better. Your best days are still out in front of you.” — Joel Osteen
