How I accessed some of the best mentors in the world.
Ever wondered how you could get advice from the best brains on the planet??? Well when I interviewed Yanik Silver as a Crazy Business Maverick he said,
One of my earliest mentors was a guy named Earl Nightingale, who is one of the top motivational or transformational speakers around. And just MENTORSHIP THROUGH HIS AUDIO TAPES, but in there he kind of gave me permission to be different at an early age. He talks about in his programme that strange secret of the field that the top 5% of the population does things differently that what the other 95% do. It gave me permission to go beyond and it also gave me assurance I was on the right path by having all these audio tapes and programmes that I was listening to in my car that weren’t the typical music or whatever.
Didn’t make the connect till later when I switched my 5am gym sessions from music driven to motivation driven [apparently research suggests what you dump in your brain first thing sets you up for the day. Kinda makes sense don’t it?] So….I went on Youtube, searched motivation and well you get about 9,910,000 results. Ker Ching!!!
My world became an endless supply of advice, support and being pushed. [Being driven is great, yet pushers have a role too]. All of a sudden I’d opened up a boundless supply of mentors and I love it. Arnold Swaznegger, Les Brown, Robin Sharma, Gary V, Rocky [aka Sylvester Stallone], Earl Nightingale, Jim Rohn, Tony Robbins and many others, [some of whose names I don’t know, yet those voices I know and recognise], well we’re like this:
So as it’s International Mentor Day, I’d simply like to say A MASSIVE THANK YOU to all the mentors that every morning set this Crazy Girl up to change the world and push humanity forward, and simply do what I gotta do as an entrepreneur. You all seem to know exactly what I’m working on and supply an answer to the questions I’m trying to answer.
And for those companies that put the compilations together - Great work and a massive THANKS to you all [Mulligan Brothers, HES19, Motivation Archive, Your World Within, Leaders Basement, Motive Scope, Habits of the Wealthy, DeLeon Motivation, 24 Physic, and Basquiat Picasso to name a few].
