Homework for Priscilla’s mini lesson
Something I found interesting from the article, Why the U.S is No Longer the Land of Opportunity, is that income inequality is nothing new for the income gap has been prevalent for the past decades now. The article mentioned the fact that Americans who are born in the ⅕ in terms of wealth have very low chances at making it into the top ⅖ as an adult. The Ted Talk, We Can Do This, America! added to this by breaking it down into ethnicities. The speaker said that an African American earns about 59 cents and a Hispanic 72 cents for every dollar a white person earns. This is incredible that in a country that proclaims equality is not very equal.
