This article is great and everything that you have gone through and others that have gone through something similar is horrible. That being said I do have an issue with the line that ends with “any man could become someone to be afraid of.” This sounds similar to rhetoric about Muslims or black people, where it is said that they’re not all bad, but because of the actions of some anyone of them could be a criminal. That kind of message just seems dangerous to me.

I know we need to do something to change the culture we live in, but to have us change from anger or fear of others doesn’t seem like the best way to go about it.

I know this wasn’t the point of the article I just thought I should bring it up, and maybe I’m wrong idk.
