Before work, we revisited the Victorian Memorial in order to walk around the gardens. We also stopped by St. Paul’s Cathedral and the Academy of Fine Arts. The ironic combination in Kolkata of academia, spectacular British monuments, and unsettling poverty continues to fascinate me.
