I say lucky because Serenade is the dream opportunity to deliver unparalleled value and creative license to artists. Imagine a commercial opportunity that demands no creative concessions? Never. How about a commercial opportunity that liberates your artistic imagination? Surely not.
Over the last year, we’ve been working to create a simple and environmentally friendly way for real fans to get involved in NFTs. We had a few must-haves from the start:
1. All about the music. Tech is an enabler to great art, not the headline act itself
2. No intimidating tech. Buying an NFT needs to be as simple as shopping online so real fans can get involved
3. Eco-friendly. The future has clean air, fresh drinking water and unburnt trees; low carbon emission proof-of-stake blockchains are a non-negotiable
Flash forward to the present, and we’ve just launched our first NFT drop with Mercury Award Nominated electronic duo, Jungle. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be releasing NFTs of unreleased music, unique artwork and unseen documentary footage with artists from around the globe, including ArrDee, Kaiser Chiefs, Alexis Taylor of Hot Chip, The Game, Strawberries & Creem festival, Young MA, Ride, Gary Powell of The Libertines, Ash, Super Furry Animals, Scouting For Girls, Ladyhawke, State Champs, S1MBA and Muki, with more to come as the months tick on.
Simplicity of experience, not technology, is our core value proposition. My exceptionally lovely/intelligent/supportive mother bought a Serenade NFT this week, telling me how fun and easy the experience was. No slight on my exceptional mother, but she truly believes Apple Geniuses are geniuses. When you demystify the tech and create a bridge for real fans, a whole new world of possibilities will follow.
We’ve been received so well by the international music industry because we authentically love artists and what they do. We’re a team of fans committed to giving artists every opportunity to present themselves with integrity and deliver genuinely valuable products and experiences to fans. We’re driven by passion and a true love for what we do, and who we have the good fortune to do it with.
Today is the first day of a long journey, and we couldn’t be more excited to start connecting artists with their super fans in ways that empower them creatively and commercially to do more of what they have always done — create great stuff.
