Find Peace Within Yourself

How many thoughts go through your head in a single day?

If you’re like most people, then that answer is in the thousands. Thousands of micro decisions, thousands of choices, thousands of conversations that you have in your head. That’s a lot to take it! All of that chatter can distract you from what really matters. It’s white noise that causes you to lose focus.

Many of those thoughts and conversations you’re having can also be self-destructive. Pestering you about why you didn’t do what you said you would during 2019. You didn’t lose the 15 pounds that you said you would. You didn’t work on creating that side business that you promised would get off the ground. You didn’t much as much in your savings account as you wanted to.

Start by coming to peace with what didn’t happen. Yes, you didn’t do what you said you were going to, but beating yourself up about it isn’t going to get you any closer to achieving it. We all have things we said we were going to do but didn’t. The question is what are you going to do about it looking forward. Are you going to keep dwelling on the past or are you ready to take action and finally make it happen?

Every day brings a new opportunity to put yourself on the path you want. You might be further down the path than you intended to be, but so what? Use that as motivation to start taking the massive action that is needed to make your goals a reality. Stop dwelling, find peace within yourself, accept your current position, and get to work making yourself a better person.
