I’ve just finished the book and wanted to see if people have been writing about it here. I normally adore Martel’s work but I thought this book lacked one thing that I always praised him for — insight into human emotions. I felt that the reasons and emotions behind why the characters did what they did were very uninspired and sometimes even unreasonable.
