The way things are and why they matter

I am a Molecular Biology student who has taken a year off before continuing her pursue of a Masters degree. I quit my program and moved to another country about six months ago. Here, I’ve been simply waiting for the new school year to start while dedicating my time to books, movies and TV. And almost everybody I know has at least once asked me what I do all day. ‘Don’t you get bored being home all day by yourself?’ It might be strange but I never even worried about that when I made the decision to quit school, apply to a new one and move to another country. I worried about many things but spending more than a year with no school or work never once made me wonder if I would be bored. The question everyone asks, however made me think about why I’m not bored. What is it about how I spent my day that makes it so fulfilling to me and appear so dull to others.

I spent most of my day reading. I read books, short stories, scientific publications and lots of other things online. I watch a lot of TV shows, movies and anime. And I spend hours listening to music. Most importantly, I spend a lot of time thinking about these things and writing about them. This is how my day goes. To me, this is the perfect life and I could do this my whole life. Because these things are my “riches”.

So here I am. In this blog, I will talk about the things that excite me and why they are important. Let me know if you get bored.

Oh and feel free to correct my English, I’d appreciate it.
