Ebony Brown is a celebrity stylist who started as a songwriter, co-writing a song with Faith Evans, who was her first styling client. So how did Ebony find herself in the fashion world? She already had her style at the start of her career as a songwriter, which seemed to appeal to her executive producers, and they would often request her to style their clients. At the moment, her focus was being a songwriter, so any other business of styling was not on her agenda. But after three years and seeing that there could be some good out of this styling, she decided to give it a try. Today, she is a force to reckon with in fashion and entrepreneurship.

From Detroit, raised by only her mother after her parents’ divorce and no industry connections, Ebony grew to be very resilient and in a position to rough through the tides of entrepreneurship, understanding that there will always be ups and downs and knowing how to handle tough times. Her determination, resilience, hard work, and talent speak for themselves, evident from her 12 years in entrepreneurship and her clientele. She has worked with celebrities like Halsey, Faith Evans, Camilla Cabello, Nicole Scherzinger, Britney Spears, Miguel, Young Thug, Kanye West, Sanaa Lathan, Syd the Kid, Kali Hawk, Maya Lynne Robinson, and George Lopez; big names you would not miss in the entertainment industry.

She has also worked with famous brands like Adidas, Nike, Urban Decay, Pillsbury, Converse, and Sprint, to name a few. Impressively, she also worked with magazines like Paper, Vibe, and V magazines, and worked with legends like Ellen von UnWorth, Hype William, and David LaChapelle. With an impressive list of accomplishments such as this one, Ebony is not slowing down. She wants not to be known for her designs, which were complimented by Beyoncé’s mother, Mrs. Tina Knowles Lawson, but for helping others. Creating platforms for black creatives to display their talents and being a source of information to others is what she wants as her legacy. She is also at the forefront of fighting for equality, especially equal pay for black creatives in a broken system, paying them less than white creatives. Activist, stylist, entrepreneur Ebony Brown is a phenomenal woman.
