A Painful Question of the Day
Nicole Dieker

This actually amused me because I’m the opposite of both Olen and Nicole (the opposite-opposite) — I find spending cash relatively more stressful because I know I need to remember to track it, unlike credit cards which a) give me a paper receipt and b) have an online statement. I view my credit card as a debit card, because I only use it to spend money I already know I have.

I like Nicole’s technique of only withdrawing money for specific things, but unfortunately there’s enough places in NYC that are cash only (or have CC minimums) that I always have unbudgeted cash on hand.
