I don't see how those quotes are relevant to what I said? I was speaking on our need to ALL care beyond just ourselves and people who look like us, beyond religion, race, sexual preference or anything else that may separate us as americans and as humans. The biggest obstacle in our quest to Social Justice is “I don't give a fuck about the other” attitude, we can not “not care” about others pain then expect them to care about ours. There is no excuse ignoring the suffering of any other sentient beings, So I submit to your consideration: “The aftermath of the ‘fight with fire’ method which you suggest is bitterness and chaos, the aftermath of the love method is reconciliation and creation of the beloved community. Physical force can repress, restrain, coerce, destroy, but it cannot create and organize anything permanent; only love can do that. Yes, love — which means understanding, creative, redemptive goodwill, even for one’s enemies — is the solution to the race problem.” (MLK) If you are fighting against police brutality and lack of officer accountability you can not “sit it out” just because this time the victim was white.
