Great write up. Motivated by this article, here is a thought/product idea — What if we create a product flow where a user jumps from the discovery to the travel state. It would be interesting to see if a product can bring all the values of the discuss state in the users decision making even by skipping it in the flow. Imagine a a travel platform, which understands you so well that it can give you the best results even without you going through the tripadvisor reviews or your friends endorsement.
