If you didn’t catch on already, I love food. I love trying food, I love making food and I love talking about it with other people. Thus, almost every free afternoon I had after hours of school and dance, I spent at Machane Yehuda. For those who aren’t familiar, Machne Yehuda is a large food market, or “shuk”, in the middle of Jerusalem, and one of the most unique parts of the city. Where else can you find sweet dates, nuts, fresh produce, home-made pastries, Latin American street food, award-winning gourmet restaurants and Georgian cheese boats all in one place? It’s basically a foodie’s heaven.
