GamerGate can touch these.

These are great points and are subject to things GamerGate should be talking about. However, you must know how positive feedback loops work: If a person says “all gamers are dead,” inevitably a gamer will pop in and say “No. That is not true.” If the conversation ends up in a back-and-forth exchange, it could increase both side’s resolve. It is about ethics; In journalism. The mere idea of writer and the subject colluding with each other to effect an outcome in which both come out monetarily positive is unethical. This video provides a condensed view point on why this is.

I do agree that the environmental, big box developers pushing over indie, exploitation of inexperienced hires, and sponsored adverts are grossly shameful and deplorable. It’s just the battle in which GamerGate has been in (rejection of major media and commercial journalism) is a big one. GamerGate is a consumer revolt from consumers (gamers) who are fed up with the narrative that is being fed to them. Honestly, it could be so much more and I think GamerGate has only scratched the surface.
