Leros Greece

If there is peace /paradise on earth (at least in Europe) it may be in Leros Greece. One of the quieter and more tranquil islands of southeastern Greece with its excellent hospitality , amazing greek salad, saganaki and octopus as well as a history of Italy, Byzantium, Ottomans and Greece it is a place most lovers of the Aegean/MEditerranean who are looking for splendid/turquoise waters will most certainly enjoy. One of the Gems we found out on our near 3 day visit to the Island was Dimitris place a nice taverna with amazing views and nice seafood with generous portions, after the meal we walked down first to the more posh Pandeli region the island it was nice but people had to sit very near each other on the beach then on the other side of Pandeli and just next to the amazing view of Dimitris was Vromolithos (most beaches are free). Also sea in Alinda (close to the port town of Agia Marina) was nice and clean. Night life is a bit quiet but we did experience some Greek bouzouki music one evening. Until next time and most likely there will be a next time sometime in the future a bientot/syntoma/a presto.
