No children here. I would really like to know what is driving up the cost of child care? If the Childcare centers are not making bank on what they charge, then why is it costing so much? Is it government regulation? Insurance costs?

I have heard the horror story of coworkers, and read articles like this, but no one ever seems to go into the “why” of the costs. They always stop at the cost.
