zkSync is a layer-2 scaling solution designed to speed up transactions and lower gas fees on Ethereum. Most of you probably have heard of ZK rollups of which the best known is zkSync. Take a look at this video to get a deeper understanding of what Zero-Knowledge Rollups are.
Is it to late for the zkSync Airdrop?
With Mainnet 2.0 soon to be publicly available, it probably won’t be long before a token airdrop could happen.
In my opinion, the probabilities for an airdrop of the $ZKS token are very high and I believe that it is not too late (as of March 2023) but we don’t know for sure if the snapshot has happened yet and when and if there will be an airdrop at all.
Even if it would be already too late for the zkSync airdrop, in this article we’ll look at some of the most promising projects from the zkSync ecosystem that could do an airdrop themselves. So, if you prepare for a possible zkSync airdrop, you could get both zkSync ($ZKS) and other tokens from its dapps!

Check my article about the zkSync Era Mainnet to interact with the recently released mainnet. To increase your chances of getting a zkSync airdrop, you should definitely also interact with zkSync Lite.
Requirements
- Get testnet $ETH on Goerli:
- I recommend register at https://goerlifaucet.com/ — the easiest and most reliable way for me to get GoerliETH - Add zkSync Testnet RPC to your wallets networks:
- Network Name:zkSync alpha testnet
- RPC URL:https://zksync2-testnet.zksync.dev
- Chain ID:280 - Bridge to zkSync: Go to https://goerli.portal.zksync.io/bridge and connect to Ethereum Goerli Testnet. Bridge some Ethereum Goerli to zkSync Era Goerli.
- Request funds from faucet: Go to https://goerli.portal.zksync.io/faucet and click on the button. It will require you to have a Twitter account to claim their testnet tokens. Note the Twitter account is (1) not new, (2) has engaged in previous Twitter activities, and (3) has a profile picture.

Go to https://app.mute.io/swap and connect your wallet. Don’t forget to switch to ZkSync alpha testnet.
- Swap tokens several times • Buy $MUTE token
- Go to https://app.mute.io/pool and click on Add liquidity → Choose MUTE and ETH → Add liquidity
- Go to https://app.mute.io/dao → Stake some $MUTE
- Go to https://app.mute.io/amplifier → Stake your MUTE/ETH LP

- Go to https://swap-zksynctest.spacefi.io/#/swap → Swap some tokens
- Go to https://swap-zksynctest.spacefi.io/#/pool → Add liquidity to any pair
- Buy tSPACE token

3. SyncSwap
- Click on Faucet and claim test token.
- Go to https://syncswap.xyz/swap and swap several times with different tokens
- • Go to https://syncswap.xyz/pool → Click on new position → Add liquidity to any pair

4. Nexon
- Go to https://testnet.nexon.finance
- Make sure your network is on ZkSync alpha testnet
- Click on “Claim tokens” and get some test token
- Click on any token (e.g. DAI) → Turn on “use as collateral button → Supply some DAI → Repeat this with USDC and WBTC
- Click again on any token you’ve supplied (e.g. USDC) → Click on SAFE MAX and borrow → Repeat this with other tokens
- Click again on any token and repay what you borrowed
5. GOAL3
- Go to https://testnet.goal3.xyz/ and connect your wallet
- Claim Daily Faucet in order to get zkUSD
- Place several bets
