Since few years it is long going debate about who is better between Millennials and Gen Z (generation Z). From social media to real world, the fight is always a hot topic.

Various surveys has done to know the exact difference between this two generations. To know their likes and dislikes, behavior, attitude, habits, lifestyle, working style and many more things are different between Millennials and Gen Z. So let we see who is better than each others generation.

People often ask what years are Gen X, what years are Gen Y, what years are Gen Z. So here is the answer.

The one who born between 1946 and 1964 are Baby Boomers, 1965 and 1980 are Gen X, 1981 and 1996 are Gen Y or Millennials, 1997 and 2012 are Gen Z.

So how millennials and Gen z are different, lets see.

Millennials Vs Gen Z

Anyone who born between 1981 and 1996 is considered as generation of Millennials (Some say 1980–1995).So the last millennials born in the year 1996. So millennials age range is in 2022 is 25 to 41 years. In the United States, there are over 80 million people are millennials.

People who born between 1997 to 2012 are considered Generation Z or Gen Z. So the age range of Gen Z in 2022 is 10 to 25.

There is a mix feel in Millennials, as some are diverse and some are traditional. Gen Z are more diverse and innovative, creative.

Buying Habit — Millennials believe in more savings than spending. The savings are used towards essentials like groceries. They are loyal to their brands, they are using since many years. Millennials buy occasionally and don’t spend on unnecessary things if it is not in regular use.

But there are some important things Millennials spend more than Gen Z, Its the House and Car!! Millennials first dream is always to own the house and then a good car. So the save a lot to buy this things.

Gen Z also save a little, but their saving goes towards some trendy, stylish things, gadgets, latest smart phones etc. Gen Z like changing brands frequently as they follow trends the most.

Gen Z currently do not worry about big things like buying a house or owning a car, as they mostly prefer renting this things.

When it come to shopping many Millennials prefer traditional way than online shopping, like in store purchase by taking the real feel of that things or giving it a trial at the spot. As they get their products immediately and do not have to wait for the delivery. But Gen Z are born with the latest technology, the internet. So their first preference for shopping is online shopping. They feel comfortable to get their product deliver at doorstep.

Education — As we have seen the boom of Engineers, Doctors in the 90s because Millennials chose the traditional education or traditional degrees. But Gen Z has got more opportunities than Millennials to choose non traditional education. They study media, music, coding, fashion, AI and many many interesting streams.

Millennials had spent more their education, but Gen Z don’t like to spend more on the education but they want more skills. Gen Z learn more skills online than spending a lot of money in traditional education.

Work — As we are seeing day by jobs are declining and inflation is rising. The Millennials struggle more to find a good paying job. There are few Millennials have achieved a good success, but still millions of millennials are struggling to survive.

On other hand the Gen Z are more self reliant and they started earning at very early age with non traditional way. Gen Z earn from internet, online sales, affiliate, social media, startups. This generation are way smarter when it comes to make easy money.
