I agree — nonprofits are beginning to really understand the importance of storytelling. But the people tasked with gathering and telling those stories are overwhelmed and undertrained. Your guidelines make sense. In fact, when I’ve struggled with gathering good story material myself, I’ve turned to journalist friends for tips.
