Unique Mars formation that looks like a bear

Yes, this is correct

For those who don’t know, there are no bears on Mars — but there is evidence of microorganisms that may have lived there in the past. So, unfortunately, we’re not going to find any animals there, but in this article, we’re at least going to reveal a very beautiful Martian feature that resembles a bear.

The craters on Mars are incredibly intriguing, and it’s no surprise that one of them resembles the most impressive, surprising, and remarkable creatures in the universe. One of NATO’s satellites orbiting the red planet called the “Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter,” has a compelling camera (The High-Resolution Imaging Experiment, in simple terms, HiRISE) That can capture clear views with exact details of the Martian surface. It recently came across an area that is very reminiscent of a bear.

“This feature looks a bit like a bear’s face,” says Alfred McEwen of the University of Arizona, which operates the HiRISE camera. “What is it really? There’s a hill with a V-shaped collapse structure — the nose, two craters — the eyes, and a circular fracture pattern — the head. The circular fracture pattern might be due to the settling of a deposit over a buried impact crater. Maybe the nose is a volcanic or mud vent, and the deposit could be lava or mud flows?”

Reading all this, I just can’t stress how accurate it is. NASA is exploring Mars for evidence of past life. The Perseverance rover is specifically examining the delta of Jezero Crater, a dry and harsh area that scientists think was once a lake. And let’s not forget that Mars definitely contains petroleum, and if you know how petroleum is created, then you know that it’s a clear indicator that life on Mars existed in some form.

“This delta is one of the best locations on Mars for the rover to look for signs of past microscopic life,” NASA claims

And if you think about it, it actually makes sense. Planetary scientists might never find any signs of past life on the Surface of Mars. Although they might need to search for microorganisms that could be underground and still alive, one thing is clear: Somewhere millions of miles away, there’s a lovely geologic feature that looks like a perfect representative of Earth.
