We all struggle with adversity & setbacks. I think the best response for us is to continually reinvent ourselves.

I was expected to become a successful, professional soccer player since a young age, and I did not live up to that expectation.
We all have internal battles going on that we’re afraid to talk about; we’re even afraid to talk about them with ourselves.
I’ve struggled with having these ‘real’ conversations with myself because I was afraid of the truth; and that truth was that I paid too much attention to what the wrong people thought of me, and not enough attention to the what the right people thought of me.
I think this is a crucial mistake that most of us make.
I chose to be distracted by the wrong things. I chose to entertain myself as an alternative. I guess I didn’t have the strength to sit my ass down, look in the mirror and be honest. And in the spirit of honesty, I still have anxiety about what others think of me. I haven’t grown the strength to overcome that yet but instead I’ve grown the strength to do something else…
To reinvent myself one day at a time.
I believe that to become the person that we really want to be later in life; to have the things we want; to do the things we want, to be with the people we want to be with, to have as much money as we want; to become the best version of ourselves>>> we must commit to daily self-improvement.
I experienced adversity in my first year as a professional player and crumbled like a house of cards because I was paralyzed by the fear of making mistakes both in training and games. This fear existed because of my anxiety of what other’s thought about me as a player and person.
If you struggle with this, or any other internal battle >>> you are not alone.
Committing to our own self-development will gives us an edge in winning the most important battles in our lives; the battles that define what type of person we become; the battles that determine the type of impact that we can make.
We’re all on this Journey of Life together and there’s only one thing standing between where we want to go and where we are now >>> ourselves.
I don’t have the answers, but I do have an undeniable belief on how to get them, which is through developing ourselves one day at a time.
How? By increasing the size of and improving the quality in our spheres of influence.
That means reading the books, watching the videos, listening to the podcasts, and being around the people that push us closer to where we want to go and closer to the type of person that we want to become.
i.e.) The things that develop us in the right way. The things that challenge us. The things that make us uncomfortable. This is how we begin to reinvent ourselves one day at a time.
Starting this process has changed me for the better and opened doors that didn’t exist before, and it will do the same for you. I want to succeed, and I know you do, too. Otherwise you wouldn’t have read to this point.
It’s a hell of a lot easier if we do it together; if we empower one another and learn from the people that have what we want on a massive scale.
Attacking my journey this way has been amazing so far. The best is yet to come for the both of us.
Let’s do it together. Are you on the verge of a breakthrough?
