Missing William
This is the longest span I’ve not seen William in 20 years. How long has it been? A month? I can’t say. I carry his love everywhere, and even if we never meet face to face again, I cherish our time together. A true Anam Cara, friend of my soul. For Always. I do feel like they’ll return, William & Bella, as the water begins to clear, late Autumn (if you’re new to the story, they’ve left an uninhabitable pond to find food elsewhere. I don’t know where that elsewhere might be. I have one guess, but was in a fender bender (literally. The man bent my fender. Once they removed it and saw the damage underneath, they had to order a new fender. 11 days without my car, I got it back yesterday. I have a missing tail light, some fellow just told me in the parking lot at Staples. “I just picked it up from Nissan!!!” He laughed. Sure, it’s funny. Go ahead and laugh.) Anyway, I will go and see if the swan couple I periodically see in a remote little pond might be W&B. A friend asked if I will be able to tell right away. Yes. Immediately. If they don’t come in to me, they aren’t my sweet soul friends. But they might come to see me, hoping I have food (which i will), or if they’re William’s numerous offspring who have been banished from their home pond and have to stake out new territory (i never know where they go).
But I will know, because they don’t all look alike, if you love them.
So here is William in Winter, which I just found in the archives. I have so many thousands upon thousands of photographs of him. He’s a celebrity. And I’ve finally written the saga of our time together, but have yet to finish typing it. I don’t know why. When I finish amending the Peony bed. Thanks for listening to me yammer.
