The PS section is smarmy. Why is ableism always the transgression that people get to be flippant about.
Lots of people who present as neurotypical have psychological distress, cognitive impairments, sensory integration challenges, etc. and, even when they are open about these struggles, are typically thrown under the bus in conversations about identity politics for simply asking questions or not understanding what’s being said, or varying in any other way from leftist orthodoxy.
Why is it that it’s not OK to think of people as humans who need help?
