Bats v Supes — I had to.

Oh, BvS! I never review movies, but BvS, I absolutely have to write about. I enjoyed every bit of it! Entertaining in a surly, depressing, funereal way. But, hell, parts of it were epic. The way the ending of Man of Steel was the kickoff of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, it was genius. And Batfleck. Freaking Batfleck!

Let’s talk about Ben Affleck. Best Batman Ever. I mean every word of it. The man is undeniably the best Bruce Wayne, but that’s just me. I am no Bats fan, but Batfleck, Yes!
He’s undoubtedly Frank Miller’s Batman. My reason to go watch BvS. Everyone keeps complaining about Bats beating the shit out of criminals, even dreaming of killing, I get why. But I enjoyed it. I love vigilantes who kill. Like The Punisher would say- You hit them and they get back up, I hit them and they stay down!

Gal Gadot made a wonderful Wonder Woman. I was all against it, I was so wrong. She is amazing as Diana Prince. Looked beautiful in the first part, walking around, in expensive clothes, being all cryptic, and boring. Then totally kicked ass in the fight with Doomsday. Very much looking forward to her movie.

I am going to dedicate this huge part of review to Jesse Eisenberg, because I adore him. It doesn’t even matter where they put him, what he does, I love him. He made a magnificent Lex Luthor. He is psychotic- a three syllable word for any thought too big for little minds. He is like the love child of The Joker (Jared Leto) and Shah Rukh Khan. I mean, if that’s not a win, what is? He’s the Lex Luthor Justice League needs. I can’t even begin to describe how awesome he is, so I won’t.

Now the really, really defective part of the movie- hopelessness. DC is dark. That’s how Nolan made it. And let’s not forget Man of Steel- Henry Cavill is the enormously demoralizing Supes that no one really wants. It’s very sad when you have to hear- if God is all-powerful, He cannot be all good. And if He is all good, then He cannot be all-powerful. But it’s the Dawn of Justice, so maybe Justice League will have some sunlight and rainbows in the background? A girl can dream.
Jeremy Irons as Alfred is faultless. And if his little quips didn’t make you laugh, I don’t know what will. The movie needed more Alfred, yes.

I am not going to talk about Lois Lame. Or Perry. They don’t matter.

The one problem was, too many things were happening too fast, so it really takes a lot to keep up. Particularly, if you know nothing about the comics, don’t follow the animated series. It’s hard to keep up with the many superhero cameos all over the place.
I was also expecting the much hyped, greatest gladiator match between Supes and Bats to go on for at least an hour, but that was just fifteen minutes of what we have been waiting for years. But it didn’t disappoint.

Doomsday was already a spoiler. And then there was this epic fight- perfect visuals. It’s wildly exciting. But we all know what Zack Snyder is good at.

Overall, perfectly enjoyable, dark, gloomy, intriguing- not the greatest movie, but a good movie. But don’t go expecting an ideal storyline. Also, don’t go with a prejudiced mindset.

And about comic relief, DC has always been a little too dark, and Marvel has been a little to comedic. My nerd dream is they’d learn from each other.

If I have to watch MoS again ever, I will shoot myself in the face. But from MoS to BvS, the metamorphosis is applaudable.
Trust, you wont need Granny’s Peach Tea.
