I fail to understand your second point — sunshine is inherently physical (in the context of material vs immaterial), and the UV rays present in it penetrate the skin barrier, causing a burn. This can be explain through materialism/physicalism and science, empirically. The question is how something that is inherently immaterial, if that is the premise (which Cartesian dualism introduced — an immaterial mind that exists on a completely different plane, given by God), can interact with something that is physical and introduce physical actions. They seem wildly incompatible.
