There is something interesting to be said about marketing in and of itself; strategy as you point out is a longer-term plan, which implies time. But I’ve been wondering while reading your article: can marketing be anything BUT long-term? Even if you fall in the tactical realm. If it is about attracting or retaining customers, then ultimately, it is about building relationships. And this takes time. Is marketing possible with only short-term tactics in the first place?
