Imagine if you could calmly tell someone “hey, that was sexist”, and instead of them getting defensive because they know that accepting it would mean social and professional suicide, they could just reply “damn, it got me again! Thanks, I’ll introspect about it” and does so.

Well, ironically enough, I see that happen a lot when… it’s another dude who tells the dude who said something that what he said is sexist. Or in conversations when I call out something sexist said by a dude and another dude intervenes to confirm it was sexist so the first dude eventually accepts my now dude-approved calling out… and this happens every day. Bias is also strong in many many men’s heads when a woman speaks, especially about sexism.
