Ev Williams, thanks for your clarifications. But, as author of non-English texts, I would have a couple of questions. I read in the today’s issue of “The Edition”:

There are so many talented writers on the platform and around the world, and we want to build a system that rewards as much quality work as possible.

Nice! A great initiative. But every issue of “The Edition” contains so far only and exclusively references to English stories. And the same applies to the members only contents highlighted in the membership page. I’ve never seen anything referring to an article or author who writes in French, German, Russian, Chinese, or, less than ever, in Italian. Why? Is it an editorial choice? Are not there enough foreign languages’ authors participating in the Partner Program? There are, but their stories are not good enough?

So my question is: as author of stories written in Italian, what are the hopes that my stories published in the Partner Program can be discovered by other members who do not know me? I joined Medium’s membership since March e I hope it was a good choice, but I confess that I have some doubt about the real possibility that my participation in the Partner Program can never produce an income.

Thanks in advance for any answer and forgive my school English.
