Content curation is the process of collecting, organizing and displaying information relevant to a particular topic or area of interest.
Publishing — In media production and publishing, content is information and experiences that may provide value for an end-user/audience in specific contexts.[1] Content may be delivered via any medium such as the internet, television, and audio CDs, as well as live events such as conferences and stage performances. The word is used to identify and quantify various formats and genres of information as manageable value-adding components of useful media to the target audience.
Curation tools are now not only limited to bookmarking functionality but it is expanding the turf into other areas, like publishing, education learning, contents social network and many others related to contents and knowledge.

With good work flow, contents, community activity, content curation site may give huge value for people as the contents are really filtered by human based on real people interest. This will create others values, like trending, values and interaction.
