The Block’s DNA is our community. It is a community of colleagues, industry peers, crypto and blockchain partner organizations, writers, investors, creators, and the 75 people who are joining us in our co-working space, “The Block @ WeWork.” The company was birthed on Telegram with a 50 person chat group, quickly moved to Slack where it grew into a 1,000+ strong discussion and debate group, and then formally incorporated in April. We took VC funding over the summer in order to accelerate the growth of our community globally.

Now that The Block is producing content daily on our site, Twitter feed and newsletter, we are eager to involve our passionate community in sharing their thoughts, ideas, and analysis regarding the cryptocurrency and blockchain ecosystem. Our Editor-in-Chief Mark Rogowsky has put in place a program to compensate those community members who contribute content that is accepted by The Block for publication. This paid program allows contributors to publish alongside The Block’s extremely talented research team and journalists.

The Block’s reach is already significant, with more than 5,200 daily e-mail subscribers and tens of thousands of weekly site visitors. We are truly excited to promote your work. If you are interested in applying to have your new, original content featured on The Block, send us a note at content@theblockcrypto.com. Feel free to include as much detail as you’d like, including a proposed topic, your background and even a draft or finished piece so we can offer feedback. We will promptly review all submissions and begin a dialogue about how we can work together in the future as well.

We are thrilled to open The Block’s content and promotional channels to our community — and to spread your incredible knowledge to an ever-growing audience! We hope you are as excited as we are :)
