The world’s most prestigious startup school, Y Combinator, launched over 100 companies this week as part of its August 2017 Demo Day. Here are our picks for the top 12 from this week’s set:

  1. JavaBot — AI powered bot to order your coffee for you, because who has time for that
  2. InstaDozen — on demand grocery delivery for 12 items or less
  3. CrapChat — share photos of your crap, only to disappear within seconds. Big market because everyone poops.
  4. SpaceY — retreats on flights to space with a focus on self-reflection and personal growth
  5. Dish.io — on demand dish washing, since most apartments in San Francisco don’t have a dishwasher
  6. Pickupbox — on demand pick up boxes delivered to you when you’re not home
  7. YouWork — a space for all the people you’re hiring to work for you
  8. Circle — an app for payments. You send to friends. Your friends send it to someone else, who can then send it to you. It’s a circle of payments.
  9. JustSign — an app for celebrities to sign stuff online
  10. Sloth — an app that helps employees communicate about the work they’re not doing
  11. YoFresh — fresh food delivered to you and your friends with an app that facilitates chatting between you and your friends to talk about your fresh food
  12. LooBoo — An Internet of Things connected plush toy to keep you company on the loo

With companies this great, we can’t wait to see what world changing solutions the next batch brings!

[Note: in case it’s not clear, this is satire!]
