THE TEST OF YOUR PATH

True tests come when you are pushed to your limits and can’t see the light from the cracks.

True tests come when everyone has left, and you’re facedown sobbing on your bed, breaking and ducking from your own thoughts.

True tests come at that moment when you think you can take it no more. Will you drink the potion? Will you choose the “easier” path? Will you cross that picket?

That slice of respite, just for a moment, could feel so nice. It will offer short-term solace.

Maybe that’s exactly what you need…

It will bathe you in a warm bath for a night…

And leave you shivering when the air hits your naked body the next morning.

See the test for what it is and run at escape velocity in the other direction.

Jump. Fly. Fall.

You will be caught. You will be with the birds. You will be embraced.

Trust.

The other direction is what your soul speaks. You can’t lose everything you have if it was never yours to begin with.

In the other direction there will be fairies and moss and warm beds of roses with nectar to feed your sores.

The other direction may seem thorny at first — those rose petals have a small price — but see through the fog and breathe into your heart and there. There. There is the warm bread that doesn’t add fat to your hips.

There. There is the puppy dog that purrs like a kitten and reminds you to be silly.

There. There is the stuff where dreams open doors and magic illuminates the sky.

There. There is you. Your calling. Your path.

There. There is you standing in your power with your sisters at your side, your brothers behind you and your love inside you.

See each test for what it is, and don’t mistake it for a gift.

This is your path.

See the test for what it is, and RUN at escape velocity the other way towards your true calling.
