The Paradox of Self-Interest: Are We Witnessing the Slow Death of the Non-Profit?
Meghan Nesmith

I’m meeting one of my former coworkers for lunch today — he now works for the government and I’m in the private sector. We worked together at a non profit many years ago. We bonded over not bringing lunch to work. Our coworkers totally resented us for going out to lunch. It’s not as though we were having extravagant steakhouse martini lunches (our favorite treat was going to McDonalds!), but we might as well have been for how our coworkers acted about it.
