You’re right — I did make the assumption that paying that cost up front is an option. But I think that for Nicole, it could be. But in future, I will try to be more conscious of mentioning those kind of costs in a manner that could be viewed as flippant. (I actually got rid of my car which gives me more flexibility in being able to pay for other things up front vs. monthly payments.)
