Crypto$ based on blockchains are not untraceable, exactly the opposite. The blockchain is a public ledger of every transaction that occurs.

Maybe you mean that transactions can’t necessarily be traced back to an individual, but even that is not that strong of a guarantee because, depending on how the transactions are carried out, a profile of a user’s transactions can be built up and used to make an informed guess about that user’s real identity.
