It’s a shame you link to Ethereum reading materials. Keep digging into the merits of that project (Do we need computing on a blockchain? Can such a service simply run as a bitcoin sidechain? Can you think of a single use case using smart contracts in which they really *must be hosted on an inefficient, decentralized blockchain* complete with mining, etc.?) and perhaps you’ll change your tune.
