Cricut.com/setup — How to activate and register my Cricut Autopress?

The Cricut app is a free app for both iOS and Android. The app provides a variety of templates that are designed for use with Cricut machines via cricut.com/setup. These templates, in turn, can be manipulated and adjusted in order to create a personalized design.

How to Downloading and Installing cricut App on your operating system?

Windows Download

Go to the website cricut.com/setup. We used Google Chrome for this download. Tick the terms of use agreement box then click Download.

The download status will show at the bottom of the browser screen. Once downloaded, click to start the installation process.

For Windows, an installation screen will show with the progress.

When the installation process is complete, the Cricut app window will appear. Here you can set up your machine or sign in via cricut.com/setup.

Mac Download

Step 1 — Download Design Space for Mac

Open your browser and go to cricut.com/setup. Cricut will automatically detect whether you have a Mac or Windows system.

Once on the page, Agree to Cricut Terms of Use by clicking the little square box next to it. You will now be able to click the Download button.

On the top right hand corner of your browser locate your Download button. Once you click on it a pop-up will appear. Double click on the doenloaded file.

Step 2 — Install Cricut App

At this point, another box will appear on your screen to start the installation process. Simply click on the Cricut Image and drag it over to the Applications icon. Double click on the Application icon.

This will take you to your application screen. Locate the Cricut Design Space icon once more and double click on it.

Click the blue Open button to complete the Cricut App install.

Once you click open, you are finally able to set up your new machine or simply log in to your account.

How do you activate and register Cricut Autopress?

Before using Cricut Autopress, you must activate and register it. Activating Cricut Autopress automatically registers your machine and ensures it has the most up-to-date software and features.

Follow the steps below to activate your heat press.

1. Ensure machine, control pod, and needed cords are out of the packaging.
2. A sticker on the control pod reminds you to register it to continue.
   Connect the USB cable to the micro-USB port on the bottom of the control pod.
3. Connect the other end of the USB cable to a Windows or Mac computer. The control pod display will also prompt you to connect to a computer to complete the activation.
4. Navigate to cricut.com/setup and follow the on-screen prompts. If a firmware or software update is available, the pod will be updated with the new firmware or software. The control pod and machine will be registered to your account. The control pod and machine will be activated in our system.
5. The control pod display will show activation and update progress.
6. When the control pod activation is complete, the display will show UPD 100%, and you’ll receive a message on the computer that the pod is updated and registration is complete.
7. Next, ensure Cricut Autopress is plugged in and powered on. Connect the control pod to the press via USB cable. The USB port is on the back of the press, near the power cord.
8. The control pod will use its stored information to activate the press.
9. Update progress will appear on the control pod display.
10. When the update is complete, the control pod display will show UPD 100%, and the press will restart.
11. Cricut Autopress is ready to use!
