You wrote about explaining ergodicity ‘more on that later’ but i saw only one more line. I’ve read alot of ergodicity tho can’t say i neccesarily understand it, but think i do (and possibly more than people who say they
do — -mostly economist types, not D Ruelle, M Mackey, etc.)

Some ‘heterodox’ economists like P Davidson place alot of emphasis in econ theory on ergodic axiom which he claims was supported by P Samuelson and he (and others) holds is why neoclassical econ is wrong. One physics type (cosma Shalizi of CMU) reviewed on of Davidson’s econ books, and said it was except for the part on ergodocity. (My impresssion is alot of people dont understand it though they can repeat the definition. They also often do not respond to each others critiques — just repeat their arguments). I first saw discussion in econ of this by Brian Arthur of SFI. (‘path dependence’).
It might be nice to clear this up. Is econom y ergodic or not? and in what sense?
