How to Do the Kubera Mudra in Steps

A simple mudra that can be done everywhere and at any time is the kubera mudra. The yoga mudra is demonstrated in the following steps:

  1. Start by sitting in a relaxed position, such as the Simple pose (Sukhasana), the Lotus pose (Padmasana), or any other pose. If none of these positions are possible for you to sit in, you are free to choose another position.
  2. It is entirely up to you whether you want to close your eyes. If you keep your eyes open, try to concentrate on one thing and avoid getting easily sidetracked.
  3. With your palms facing up, place your hands on the thighs. Bring the tips of your middle and index fingers to your thumb. Gently press these three fingers against one another as you bring them together.
  4. To the middle of your palm, bend your little and ring fingers.
  5. You’ll get the sensation of energy if you keep your attention on how the three fingers are generating it.
  6. Continue in this position for the following 10 to 15 minutes.
  7. Slowly uncurl the fingers to exit the position.
