Whatever the charges and their basis, this announcement is in incredibly poor taste. It’s worded in a way that seems to have been intended to publicly shame the editor — whoever wrote this should know better, after all this is a community of writers and writers of all people know the power wielded by their choice of words. There was another way to handle this and if you didn’t know how, you should have sought counsel first. This is not how you treat employees, writers, peers or people in general.
