An Open Letter to the Driver Who Tailgated Me on a Wet, Winding Road

Dear Driver who Tailgated Me on a Wet, Winding Road,

I understand I was going a little slower than the speed limit (which I believe was 35 or 40 MPH) but that does not give you an excuse to tailgate me. I am a relatively new driver and I had never been on this particular road before so yes, I was being cautious. I do not know what was so important that you had to ride my bumper until I finally turned and then speed off on your epic and all important journey to where ever you were going, but whatever the reason I highly doubt it was really that important.

I, being the timid and easily stressed new driver that I am, take curves very slowly because I don’t want to go over the double yellow line or off the road over/into whatever cliff, drop off, or otherwise not car friendly situation that may await. You on the other hand did not seem to care about that fact, nor the fact that you were stressing me out. A lot. You see, by tailgating me, you made me want to drive even slower just so I could return all the frustration and stress you were causing me.

I really hope that someone tailgated you after I was out of your path so you could stew about tailgating me and regret the fact that you were highly annoying and stressful.

For your sake, I hope my tailpipe smelled nice,

Megan
