The five best MCU films from the first three phases

Few collectibles are popular as Marvel collectibles in the City of Collectibles of Megalopolis Toys. A big reason for this, of course, is the wildly successful Marvel Cinematic Universe. For today’s blog, one of Megalopolis Toys’ residents shares his top five MCU films to date.

5. Avengers: Infinity War (2018)

It had for lack of a better word, “cleaner” storytelling compared to the MCU’s grand finale, “Avengers: Endgame.” “Avengers: Infinity War” was tighter, and it made fans feel that everything was connected more than any other MCU film.

4. Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019)

“Far From Home” is the best Spider-Man live-action movie in 15 years. It was fun, cute, psychedelic, gripping, and heartfelt. “Avengers: Endgame” was a hard act to follow, to say the least, but “Far From Home” surprisingly achieved it on its own terms.

3. Marvel’s The Avengers (2012)

A lot like Peter Jackson’s “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy, “Marvel’s The Avengers,” was more an event than a film. With Joss Whedon at the helm, the MCU’s most ambitious project at the time made every fan a happy camper.

2. Thor Ragnarok (2017)

Many of Megalopolis Toys’ residents and citizens love “Thor Ragnarok.” It was original and hilarious, imaginative and spontaneous. Perhaps the best way to describe “Thor Ragnarok” is that it was outstandingly unforgettable. Bravo, Taika Waititi!

1. Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014)

As far as storytelling goes, “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” is the gold standard in the MCU. It had far-reaching implications for a non-cosmic storyline, and its grand twist will be hard to top, ever.
