As someone who used to work in communications for the UN, it is insanely misleading. We had to constantly take into account the media habits of different regions and countries. I mean, sub-Saharan Africa gets most of its news from the radio (or at least it did the last time I had to keep up with that kind of trend). I find it endlessly frustrating the stream of U.S.-only studies and metrics when it comes to the world of social media. This isn’t cable TV people!
