WHAT IS IT?
- bullying that takes place on electronic devices through the use of social media sites, chats, messages, and websites.

- examples of cyberbullying include: rumors being mass sent, harmful text messages, embarrassing pictures, videos, websites, posting on social network sites, etc.
WHY’S IT DIFFERENT?
- it can occur 24/7 and can reach the victim when he/she is alone
- messages, posts, and photos can be sent anonymously
- deleting messages, posts, and photos is extremely difficult as well

- most kids who are bullied online are also bullied in classrooms
EFFECTS
- more health problems
- skipping school
- lower self-esteem
- poor grades

STATISTICS:
- Over 80% of teens own phones, which easily makes it the most popular form of cyberbullying

- Boys are more threatened by cyber bullying than girls

- More than 1 in 3 teens have experienced cyberthreats
